Here's what goes into it:

  • 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries

  • 1/4 cup of fresh or frozen cranberries

  • 1/2 banana

  • one handful of oats (about 2 tbsp)

  • 1 tbsp of chia

  • handful of hemp seeds (about 2 tbsp)

  • handful of pumpkin seeds (about 2 tbsp)

  • 1 scoop of collagen (start with 1/4 scoop and work up)

  • 1/2 cup of yogurt or kefir

  • 3 g of spirulina

  • 3 g of turmeric (or a knob of fresh)

  • a splash of water to get it to the desired consistency

Blueberries: Antioxidant Powerhouse

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants, particularly anthocyanins, which help fight oxidative stress and inflammation. These antioxidants protect cells from damage, potentially lowering the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer. Blueberries also support brain health by improving memory and cognitive function.

Cranberries: Supporting Urinary Tract, heart Health & gut health

Cranberries contain compounds called proanthocyanidins that prevent bacteria from sticking to the urinary tract walls. This makes them effective in reducing the risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs). They also have anti-inflammatory properties and contribute to heart health by improving cholesterol levels. Whole cranberries contain prebiotic fibres that support the production of important short-chain fatty acids.

Banana: Natural Energy and Digestive Aid

Bananas provide natural sugars and potassium, which help maintain energy levels and support muscle function. They contain dietary fiber, particularly pectin, which aids digestion and promotes gut health. Bananas also help balance electrolytes, making them ideal for hydration.

Oats: Sustained Energy and Heart Health

Oats are a great source of complex carbohydrates and soluble fiber, especially beta-glucan. This fiber helps lower LDL cholesterol, reducing the risk of heart disease. Oats also promote feelings of fullness, which can aid in weight management.

Chia Seeds: Omega-3 and Fiber Boost

Chia seeds are tiny but packed with omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and protein. Omega-3s reduce inflammation and support brain and heart health. The fiber in chia seeds helps regulate blood sugar and promotes digestive regularity.

Hemp Seeds: Complete Plant Protein and Healthy Fats

Hemp seeds provide a complete protein source, containing all nine essential amino acids. They are rich in omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in an ideal ratio, supporting skin health, brain function, and inflammation control.

Pumpkin Seeds: Mineral-Rich and Immune Support

Pumpkin seeds are loaded with zinc, magnesium, and antioxidants. Zinc is crucial for immune function and wound healing. Magnesium supports muscle relaxation and bone health. The antioxidants in pumpkin seeds help reduce inflammation.

Collagen: Skin, Joint, and Bone Support

Collagen is a structural protein that supports skin elasticity, joint health, and bone strength. Adding collagen powder to your smoothie can help replenish the body’s collagen levels, which decline with age.

Yogurt or Kefir: Probiotics for Gut Health

Yogurt and kefir are fermented dairy products rich in probiotics, which support a healthy gut microbiome. A balanced gut flora improves digestion, boosts immunity, and may even influence mood.

Spirulina: Nutrient-Dense Algae

Spirulina is a blue-green algae packed with protein, vitamins, and antioxidants. It supports immune function, reduces inflammation, and provides energy. 3 grams will give you 200% of your daily intake of B-12!

Turmeric: Natural Anti-Inflammatory

Turmeric contains curcumin, a compound with strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. It supports joint health, brain function, and may reduce the risk of chronic diseases.

Blended together

This smoothie combines ingredients that support your heart, brain, digestion, immune system, skin, and joints. You'll get so much nourishment in one meal so it's worth the work pulling together all the ingredients.
